Tanya Torossian is a contemporary artist based in Montreal, Quebec. Growing up in an environment that nurtured her creative talents, Tanya's artistic rituals have quickly evolved into a full-time practice. Her work has been collected internationally and is frequently exhibited in both Canada and the United States.
Tanya's art focuses on vivid representations of tropical and fantastical landscapes, inspired by a diverse range of cultural archives, including paintings, textiles, ceramics, and sculpture. Tanya's work begins with pencil drawings and brought to life through layered washes of ink, followed by an instinctive application of thick acrylic and oil paints.
Tanya holds a degree in Psychology and a degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design.
Over the years, she has participated in several group exhibitions and has exhibited her work in Montreal, Toronto, and New York.
Her artwork was recently part of Fashion Week in NYC and is held in private collections in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Boston, California, Colorado and Italy.
A selection of her work will be available as NFTs in Q2 2022
